Paragraph 64. - The Setting-up of the Police Aides - Their Recruitment, Qualifications etc. - Evidence of Osbert James

64. Finally, Mr. Osbert James, a Superintendent of Police who was acting as Commissioner of Police from February 20, 1974, in succession to Mr. Nugent David said that the strength of the Police Force in May 1974 was 599. On April 29, 1974, acting Commissioner James submitted a statement which gave the relative positions in 1973 and 1974 of the Police Force, the Grenada Volunteer Constabulary and the police aides.
